Agency and Personal Vehicle Use

                                                                                                

Personnel of A.A. Living Opportunities who transport participants in their personal vehicle have prior written approval from A.A. Living Opportunities management, maintain current valid auto insurance, and have a vehicle in good working order.  The specific vehicle which the employee uses has met the driver requirement and has had a vehicle inspection annually. The record of an annual inspection, and the driver’s license and insurance information are stored in the personnel file. Employees will be reimbursed for mileage used only as approved. Employees who provide transportation do so under the guidelines provided in the participants Individual Service Plan.

Director’s Comments

A.A. Living Opportunities monitors the program overall and everyone being served.  The service is designed to ensure the health, safety and independence of each participant.  The Quality Assurance procedures are reflective of the service design and the standard of service set forth by NBRC. Quality Assurance procedures include the evaluation of staff performance, home maintenance, and participant health and satisfaction.
